Our installers let you choose SQLite instead of MySQL. SQLite stores the whole database in one file, needs no database server and is very fast for small and medium sites.
It is a good choice for a personal site, a staging copy or a product demo. Choose MySQL or MariaDB when many people write at the same time, when you need remote database tools, or when your host offers automatic database backups. You can move from SQLite to MySQL later with an export and import.
