Accessible websites work for people using screen readers, keyboards or zoom, and they are usually nicer for everyone else too.
- Every image gets meaningful alt text, or empty alt text if it is decorative.
- Every form field has a visible label.
- Text has enough contrast with its background.
- Everything can be reached and used with the keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
- Headings follow order: one H1, then H2s, then H3s.
Start with these five and you will fix most problems.
